Overview
Rendering That Protects and Transforms
The right render does two things at once: it protects your building from the elements and gives it a clean, modern finish that lasts. CW Plastering & Rendering provides professional rendering services for homeowners and commercial clients across Fareham, Hampshire, West Sussex, and Dorset.
We're experienced in monocouche, thin coat silicone, and more. Whatever finish you're after, we'll help you choose the right system for your property and budget.

Our Rendering Services
Rendering requires a different approach depending on building type and finish. We'll advise on the right one when we visit.

Durability
Built to Last, Designed to Impress
A properly installed render isn't just about aesthetics. It seals the building envelope, helps manage moisture, and reduces maintenance over time. Done badly, render can trap damp, crack, and fail within a few years.
We've been working with render systems for over 30 years combined. We know how to prepare the substrate correctly, apply the right base coats, and finish to a standard that holds up. That applies whether you're rendering a single elevation or an entire commercial property.

How It Works

Preparation
Good rendering starts with proper preparation. We assess and treat the substrate before anything goes on the wall. This is what separates a render that lasts from one that fails.
Installation
We apply the system to the manufacturer's specification and our own high standards. We'll keep disruption to a minimum and keep you informed throughout.
Finished and Inspected
Once the render is complete, we inspect the finished surface before we sign off. If anything isn't right, we'll put it right.
FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Monocouche is a one-coat, through-coloured system that gives a textured finish and never needs painting. Silicone render is applied as a thin finishing coat over a base system: it's smoother, highly water-repellent, and particularly good on older properties. The right choice depends on your wall type, the look you want, and your property's exposure to weather. We'll advise on the best option when we visit.
A properly installed render on a well-prepared substrate should last 20 to 30 years or more, depending on the system and the building's exposure. Silicone and monocouche systems are particularly durable and low-maintenance. The biggest factor in longevity is correct preparation and installation, which is why we take both seriously.
Most masonry surfaces can be rendered: brick, blockwork, and stone are all suitable substrates with the right preparation. Older or mixed substrates may need additional work before rendering. We'll assess the wall when we quote and let you know honestly if anything needs addressing first.
In most cases, changing the external finish of a property in England is covered by permitted development rights and doesn't require planning permission. However, this can vary. Listed buildings, properties in conservation areas, and some new builds may be subject to restrictions. We'd always recommend checking with your local planning authority before work begins. We'll flag anything that gives us cause for concern when we visit.
